Wendigo Psychosis

The gf was talking ‘bout Wendigos yesterday. She’s revisiting Pet Sematary (the book) after I kept watching the movie adaption over and over again sometime last week.

So yeah, I got around to drawing one this afternoon. Love drawing big creatures and creepy things. Especially malevolent cannibalistic creatures.

Created using UNI POSCA pens, indian ink, pen and white card whilst listening to Fang Island’s self-titled debut. Seriously, check that album out. It’s incredible.

I'm aware I missed a day yestersay but, realistically, I'll never be able to draw everyday. So with that in mind I tried to spend a bit more time on something today. It turned out alright. Again, too big to scan. Shame really 'cause the blacks look a lot better IRL.

After a failed canvas earlier I didn't have the drive to draw much else so I did this little ink drawing. I nearly had Mario eating Yoshi's brains but I couldn't bring myself to draw it.

Have you ever seen that most awesome of films, They Live? In it Roddy Piper's down and out drifter finds a box of discarded sunglasses in a back alley and through these glasses he can see, well, what's beneath the surface. The societal elite are in fact a group of aliens subliminally controlling the human populace through the media in various formats. I've been watching an awful lot of the election broadcast these past 24 hours...

The Beard Collector

There's an interesting little collective known by the title of this piece around here. And I love the imagery I get from that title. A literal collector of beards. Viciously tearing them off faces. Or something. I think maybe he can't grow his own and so harbours great pains and resentment.
Anyway, I didn't intend for him to come out so... Darth Vader. It just kinda happened.
