Dr Ion's battery runs low

Dr Ion is one of my favourite characters from one of my favourite videogames. That game being God Hand. If you haven't played it yet go do so right now! Srsly.

Anyway, I set about sketching him out after I got home from work today. Once I put it into PS that sapped all my time. Jeez, I need to get a graphics tablet... I ended up cheating with the fill tool to get some initial colours down at one point. Anyhoo, considering I've not used PS in ages I'm pretty happy with the end result. Robots FTW.

Robotic Penguin

A friend had asked me to draw a robot penguin a few days back, and while it's not the finalised image, I managed to mess about with the concept for an hour or so during work this morning. Didn't have anything to hand other than a bic so there's no colour down or anything yet. It was requested it be kind of cute, but I dunno how cute a robo-bird with tank tracks for feet can be. I'm not sure why I gave him a reel-to-reel unit on his chest either. Looks like I'll have to get back to the drawing board on that one. Sorry chu. x

And in other news I just managed to get a cheap mouse so I can manage in PS with a bit more ease (touch pads on netbooks are impossible to draw with). I'm hoping to have a play about in PS later on if time allows, and I may be able to get something else up before work today. Whoo productivity!

Welcome from sixgirl!

Hello and and a warm welcome from No More Weary-o's and sixgirl. The gist of this blog is to basically provide one drawing per day. That's it! I figured 2010 - the year of the future - was the perfect time to get off my arse and do something. If I'm feeling particularly chatty I might throw out the odd observation, but don't go expecting anything profound around here. It'll prolly amount to me counting down my last smokes or wishing for a bowl of weetos. Exciting times indeed.
